ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Zoe.
I provide counselling for adults and young people in Bury St Edmunds and over video call.

Working in various jobs, I always felt as though I wasn't in the right career and realised what I loved about all of the jobs I've done is the human connection involved. I realised I wanted to do something that made a difference for people in a personal, deeper way and counselling stood out to me. As a deep thinker, I've always loved hearing stories from people with a curiosity to know why we think and behave in the ways we do.
We’ve all been through our share of life’s trials and tribulations, and I’m no different. Having overcome obstacles in my own life I remain open minded to the struggles that my clients bring to their sessions, with a passionate belief that no one persons struggle is more important than any other persons.
Since qualifying I have worked as a school counsellor in secondary schools and sixth forms. I found that I enjoy connecting and working with young people as much as I enjoy working with adults.

HOW I WORK
When starting counselling, you will find a safe and confidential space to share your thoughts and feelings. I understand that life can be challenging and at times overwhelming, and in those moments we can need support. My approach to counselling is to listen to you in a non-judgemental and compassionate way and to empower you to take steps towards a more settled sense of self. You might be facing some challenges, and I am here to help you explore and make sense of the things that are troubling you.

Whatever is on your mind, you can talk to me confidentially, safe in the knowledge that you will be listened to without judgement. You don’t need a diagnosis to reach out. Whether you’re thinking “it’s probably just a me thing” or “it’s not that big of an issue” or even “I shouldn’t burden anyone else with this”, if you need someone to open up to, I’m here to help.

As an integrative counsellor I can draw on different modalities and therapy techniques. This means that together we can work in a way that best suits you and the trouble that you are facing.
